In Seyne-les-Alpes the church of Notre-Dame de Nazareth is worth a visit. It is in Romanesque-Provencal style (XII-XIII century), in visible stone ashlars. It is an aisle-less church and it has two remarkable lancet arch portals, one surmounted by a rose window on the gabled façade. Above the village there is the fort of Vauban, which owes its name to its planner, Sébastien le Prestre de Vauban (1633-1707),a military engineer at the service of Louis XIV. The fort of Seyne, recently restored and used as a exhibition and cultural space, is part of a network of fortifications planned by Vauban along the whole border of the French Kingdom and they are listed on the UNESCO humanity heritage.
